The D-Cup Diatribes by Melody Swink
The Cleavage Culture Explored, A One-Woman Comedy
October 20 - 24

Throughout history, breasts, those plentiful appendages that have garnered poetic accolades and the painters’ ferver… are now being revealed, uplifted and unfastened by one of Chicago’s most celebrated talents of music. Through the stories of six women and one 11-year old girl, the play explores… boobs, tatas, honeys, girls, honkers, nips, pillows, melons; blah, blah, blah. Melody’s compelling monologues take the audience on a journey into the muddled mind of a young girls’ pubescent transformation to the libertine life reminiscences of a 60-something former hippie wild child and their quizzical, quirky takes on body parts and their personal relationship with them. Topics range from size advantage/disadvantage, size enhancement/diminishment, mother/daughter  expectations/inheritances, and the male marketing agenda as witnessed throughout the 20th Century… in other words, our Cleavage Culture explored.

Runt of the Litter
January 20– 23

TEACHERS! There are school matinees on January 19 & 20. Call (413) 788-7646 for ticket prices and information!

Runt of the Litter looks at what happens to two brothers in a family of over-achievers: when their parents assure their oldest son he is destined for football superstardom, while their youngest son appears too small to compete, a line in the family sand is drawn that colors the rest of their lives. Runt of the Litter is, in fact, a semiautobiographical account of Bo Eason's life and career as a safety for the Houston Oilers in the 1980s. A superb and substantive one-man show written and performed by Eason, this show has an across-the-board appeal for everyone, from sports enthusiasts to hardcore theater lovers. visit website

January 29

Bobby is a storyteller. His heartfelt humor engages audiences with a hilarious blend of characterizations and spot on observations to which everyone can relate. Unlike many comedians, who rely solely upon the clever use of words and ideas to engage and audience, from the moment Bobby hits the stage, he lassoes the crowd and pulls them ever closer to him while they cry from laughter. Bobby holds a mirror up to each of us and helps us not to take ourselves so seriously.
